Hi Guys, I'm James, originally from the Vauxhall end of things, and got a 16v as I always fancied one, think it's the nova/audi quattro esque archs that I like, anyways Love the handling, shame about the reliablity. About caught up on the maintance on the car to get it up to speed now and loving it.

Plan is make the car a nice std 16v as it's (meant to be) my daily driver.

It is a L-reg 16v monaco blue
68k FSH leather.
-30mm
refurbed turbines to my taste

So far I've replaced
plugs
leads
cap&arm
coil
lower front wishbones
Ferrodo Premier pads all round
Std airbox back on

still to fit
ARB drop links (to polybush ones)
New std exhust
New fogs
New fron indicators
to body shop for de-stone chipping etc..

Pic of my track car, currently an Mi 14 after dropping 2 exhaust valves at 7k+ and trashing the engine, rebuilding at the mo

Welcome.
Looking good, can't beat a standard ph1 valver imo, low mileage too for an L plater :)

Thanks for the welcome will keep my eyes open for the next trackday coming up, although the 16v would be left at home.

Refitting the std airbox has made the car drive much stronger in the midrange.

I'm having the head off soonish and haing a full port job on it, is a supersprint 4-2-1 worth the extra ££ to fre up more ponies?

Hello mate, met you at the french sports club meet at Hatfield, got the willie 2.

A supersprint manifold is definately worth the extra money IMO. Looks the part too doesnt it 8)
