I have a second interview for a job workin in the area i want to, lab work. BUT its based 25 miles away in matlock (quality drive there but everyday?!.....no thanks!) and i dont think i like the place.

thing is its experience and it would be job security which i need with a house on the way.

do i go for it or do i stick it out where i am at Xerox (ongoing temp, supposedly secure but u never know do you?!) untill something better comes up?!

go for it. i would go for it even if i knew i wouldnt stick it out. even 6months experience on your cv makes the world of difference. anyhow, cant you always move? rent somewhere a bit closer.

Well I would say wait for something nearer you really. All analytical lab jobs are gonna be in that salary range and there is a huge range of analytical positions out there.
might be worth looking on http://www.srg.co.uk/ if you haven't already. :)

go for it coops!....25miles is nuthin really, if its betta money, betta security and more experince then i think youl regret it if u dont go for it

and as people say if the 25miles was to much for ya you could always rent / move closer 2 your work

If it's 25miles of flowing traffic, that's nothing. That's should be an easy 30-35 min drive.

had the interview today, me and this chick are all thats left for the position, rekon its in the bag  nah am jokin but was happy with the day, cupla meeting with senior staff etc n i think i stand a good chance. on second visit i prefer the place, its more money and its good for the CV/future prospects. i've also sorted a good route to the place past chatsworth house missing bakewell and sorted the route out of sheffield to miss the city centre

to cut a long one short, if they offer me it am takin it! 8)
