Power steering issues

It's started making a bit of a crunching noise when putting it on lock in the morning, and fluid is leaking out of the res cap.

Is it time for a new pump??

It sounds like every other PAS system!!

Fluid always leaks from the cap.

As for the noises, I changed my pump when I had the luxury of having the engine out..and TBH it hasn't made a great difference. So for all the hassle of changing it with the engine still in situe..it has to be really freekin nosiy to justify it..

You can get some Slick 50 stuff to whack in that supposedly reduces the noise but never done it so not sure how effective this is.

Mines noisy mate. Have never worried about it as it is so common...
