View Full Version : Supersprint Adjustable Flange Bit

I was putting a cat onto my Supersprint Manifold for Mot, and when i took the decat off and lined up the cat, it turned out it was to short, after looking at the decat it had been lengthed as its a bb tuning one which ment it blew like this.
After looking at Summehs Supersprint it turns out that im missing the adjustable flange part which is after the downpipe.
Where can you get these from? are they an universal exhaust part, or do i have to get one from Supersprint?

this is the bit he's talking about... circled in red.

circled in red is the missing flange... it meets the downpipe flange and uses a fire ring between the flanges... then has a flat faced flange for meeting the decat/cat.

you can order them through Supersprints uk distributer... llok on ss website it lists the name and number of the supplier

it depends on who fitted the manifold and what car its fitted too :D

All the ones i have seen HAVE had to be extended to make the car fit. Including mine. Martins the same by GDI !

CAn u post a picture of the problem ?

Right i rang up K-tec and they said they cant get them separatly.
So i rang up Eurostyling and they said they cant get hold of Supersprints no more.
So looks like i will have to get one custom made up.
I dont have anypics im afraid but that flange would make up the difference i need iirc

err my supersprint was never extended to fit.

my supersprint does not have that piece it just goes straight onto the decat dosent have the spring bolts either.

its needed to take the movement out of the exhaust, else it'll put a lot of stress on the manifold studs and snap them.

err my supersprint was never extended to fit.

I know yours wasnt mate - but ive never seen underneath lol

The ones ive seen - they all have. mine, banana, martins williams etc

id betterknock something up then,they are just normal bolts inserted into a spring aint they?should be able to get hold of a flange as well.
