Your front wheels arch look a little bit high though. Are those 185s?

Think the arch looks high with the angle of the road, full of potholes also, i'll have a look on the flat though, as you may know, i had an episode lately and as far as i'm concerned the suspension is totally to blame, as for the tyres, yup they are 185's - Fulda Carat Attiro's

Honestly Rott, with that height and unknown tyres - you can't be enjoying the full handling goodness of the Williams. Would certainly make it very difficult to catch when you break traction.
PS: Should qualify my statement: unknown tyres to me. I just googled, they are made by Toyo.

i have 185's on mine, not as good as the semi slicks i had on the white williams alloys but still not that bad

Can't justify "throwing away!" a descent set of tyres, for the sake of it, and it's not as though theyre unknown, fulda Carat range is known as a capable tyre, no longer being made under the Fulda brand, but now Goodyear, their parent company, definitley not known for producing crap, now known as Eagle Vector EV-2, retailing at £75 each from mytyres.co.uk, i woudn't say tyre choice is a problem, but the suspension is imho, i get the feelin that there is a mix and match of springs on there, i'm contemplating getting a full suspension kit for it, for piece of mind more than anything, still in 2 minds as to what brand to go for :?

iirc it was the front drivers side spring that was being changed when i 1st viewed the car, off out to check over them this very minute

The Fulda pattern looks decent enough for dry grip, did you hit water when you spun?

I don't suppose you have another Williams closeby to you to reference the handling. I think the pic I cropped had the car sitting quite flat. Maybe someone here can post a pic of their Williams with 185s taken from that angle (Mine's 195).

one of my mates has a 2, he's a bit of a silent member on here, StewBCK, will deffinitley be havin a good look tomorrow! And no the roads were dry as old bones when she went, no where near the limit, just a leisurley kinda pace, just turnin into a long right hand bent, and she went, no lift off, no braking, nothing, was just coasting :?

Sounds good. Can't be manhandling the Williiams round twistes when it can't even cope with a simple little bend. Hope you sort it out soon and give it a proper thrashing. :)

I can thoroughly recommend the Renault brand. Seem to know what they're doing
