iam at the later stages of breaking my S14 now, so its time to decide what to do with the cash, its either save up for a year to buy a new toy, which means no more money into the clio, or have a full respray and rebuild on the clio, maybe a williams conversion, turbo or throttle bodies! Which do you all think?

The Astra will seem very boring after the Clio. So I reckon S14 and have some drifting fun, or Evo if you just want to go as fast as possible. Depends how you prefer driving :D

*Edit - erm, kinda changed my mind.*

iv had loads of sports cars in the past 5 years, iv got an evo 6, lotus carlton, m3 evo convertable and a clio williams at the minute, reason for buying the clio was just for a track and santa pod car but since driving it about a little i am quite impressed, lacks abit of power compared to my others but thats why its in the middle of a t3 hybrid conversion. If you buy an evo you have to consider running cost as mine cost £14500 to buy £2850 to insure and iv spent about £4000 getting it just perfect with no faults, theres no chance id buy the astra there shit, i think i would spend money on the clio and get it just how i like it!

^^^^^ Evo anyday out of your little wish list, like already mentioned, expensive to run, mine cost me £17k average of £900 per annum insurance, servicing every 4,500miles, and tuning them ain't so cheap either, i've probably spent around £6k on mine to date (well worth it though) and it's sitting just shy of 400bhp and then theres the sub 20mpg factor, never outta the pumps, Gordon Brown actually waves at evo drivers - ultimatley it's up to you tho mate!!!

if u have that kind of cash and are not bothered about spending 16k on a 4/5 year old car id 100% have an evo 6, if i could TME in the red and white.

can pick up a Tommi Mak for £13-14K now, and for a descent VI you shouldnt have to go much over £10k

thats ebay prices, if you want a cheap import with 90000 on the clock yeah you might pay around ten grand if you want a uk evo 6 with about 50000 on the clock and full history you want at least £12500 other wise your wasting your time, theres loads of shit evos out there, i spent weeks finding mine

Look on Lancerregister mate, some of the boyos are giving them away, infact they can't even give them away, and most of them are far from being junk!

Bit late on this thread

Drove the Astra regularly through work, tame and bloody awful.

Mate has the Nissan, poor car, unless your into the D1 scene.

Had a Mak for 6 months, expensive to run and very good but....

I chopped it in for a P1 Impreza and that was miles ahead of it, for performance, looks, attention, and cheaper to run.
