I got my flywheel and loads of other bits today off Matbrown (cheers matey), and when i looked in the Haynes manual about fitting the flywheel it said to mark the crank and flywheel so that its put back on in the right place, but obviously my engine has been rebuilt by GDI and didnt have a flywheel on it..

There is a white mark on the crankshaft, but ive got nothing to line it up with..Is this a serious issue if i just bolt the flywheel on? I had an idea that the screws might be offset so it only goes on one way, as i had to rotate its position quite a bit to get all 7(?) screws lined up properly..

Cheers,

Dan

One thing i forgot to mention is that i'm sure i read somewhere that new bolts should be used when refitting.

Cheers Stan, i was a bit worried about it being fitted wrong, was hoping the bolts would be offset..

Thanks for the info Mat, i will pickup some new bolts from Renault then, as i need some clutch bolts, and an alternator belt still, man the parts list is never ending
