Clean it or buy a new one? MSWorld do 'em for £29 delivered so am thinking to just feck it and buy a new un.

Yeah but you need to buy cleaner for it so it will cost me to some extent.

im waiting for 1 to arrive so now i know u gotta wash them ill wash it usin washin up liquid (just in a bowl of water ??)

yeah u gotta clean them because ur pipe from the bumper is sucking up crap with the air and then it gets stuck in the filter.
this is good bc it stops it going into your engine, but once its clogged with all this crap it somewhat restricts the air going through the filter into the engine. (make sense? :lol: )

once you've cleaned it, the oil helps the dirty and stuff stick to it again.

wash/dry > oil > use

I've actually got the oil from when we got a pipercross element for teh Xsara. Dirt Retention Additive.

Presumably I can just use that?

Washing up liquid does the job then does it? Do you wash it in the water or rub a thick concentration of the washing up liquid directly in to the foam and then rinse?
