iv just nicked this off a differnt forum
but thought it might come in usefull for some people buying cars or trackday cars

Had to move an engine last night, wasn't going to use my car and a mates car didn't have any insurance.

2.5 litre V6 omega, Fully insured for £10.50 Very Happy Very Happy

Took about 4mins to insure it online, even printed out your own cover note

Fully legal, you can use the site to insure a car up to a month.

Even better was, Group 1-17 is £10, group 18, 19 and 20 is £20.

So if you happen to know someone with a rather expensive sports car you can take it for a blast (legally)

This site is perfect if you need to move a car thats been off the road, or if you happen to have a track day weapon and only use it a few times a year.

Only stipulations were that you can't have more than 8 points and been banned more than twice (or something very similar)

Dunno what forum this is best off in, but might be useful as a sticky somewhere?

qualify for dayinsure insurance, the vehicle must:

be registered in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man.
have a current market value of less than £40,000.
have no more than 8 seats (including the driver's).
not have been modified.
not have been imported.
not be used for the carriage of goods or passengers for hire or reward.
not be used to carry hazardous goods (other than the carriage of less than 10 kg of bottled gass, or 10 litres of flammable solvents in one container.
not be used or driven at any hazardous location.

i could have a ferarri 328 GTS for £21.00 for a day!! :D

might test drive some private sale cars next week! lol

Just noticed you can't use their cover note to get road tax. Alright if you want to drive an already taxed car. But no good if you wanted to tax a car and use it for a little while.

the norwich union one is better than this one!
my dad is letting me have his subaru for the day on friday for my 21st bday! the dayinsure said i had to 25! and it was gona be £21 but norwich union is £10.50 and you only have to be 21! :D
