Valvers dangily bits

Ok there a plastic cover hanging from under the valver, its in the center of the car about 2-3 feet in from the front bumper. I can get my arm under there and smack it back up but once you start driving it again it keeps coming off and dragging along the floor.

Looks as if the front of it is bolted to something as was just gonna rip it off. Is its actually needed? amguesing its there for a reason to protect something.

Some one please help before i start ripping bits off my car :lol:

Gearbox sump guard. No bolts or anything, should just clip on underneath.

not metal? - could be ur heatshield

then again - no, cuz it wouldnt reach the floor :?

i ran without it on my rsi its fine, can't see what plastic is gonna do anyways lol

Yup deffo plastic. probally is just clipped in, valver is quite low at the front and could'nt quite jam my face under the car to get a good look :P

Is it ok to just get rid of it then? don't wanna go twatting my gearbox on a speed bump. although would save some weight :P

You'll be fine on speed humps as the front wheels go up witht eh sump etc, its bumpy country roads etc you ahve to worry about

i had the same problem mine kept falling down and dragging up road wiv me, ripped mine off too. i didnt realise what it was there for either. :lol:

it covers a moving part so I left mine on. Bit of a a bugger to clip back on tho.

oh well, was bin day today. At least i can sleep safe in the knowledge that the valver has shed a few grams :lol:
