I've got myself a nice williams 3 now, so its time to start modding it, its got an exhaust,de-cat,filter and a hillpower chip, next thing i want to do is get a decent suspension set up on it, i had koni adjustables on my valver, lowered 50mm and the handling was amazing on it, not really pushed the willy yet to see how it compares, but i gather suspension has moved on a bit since then, so.............

What suspension should i go for?

It will mainly be for fast road use and the odd trackday, will £500 be enough or would i need to spend a bit more?

cheers

ps. Is there any good companies out there that anyone could recommend to fit the suspension and set it up nicely?

Std. I bet the handling on your valver wasn't better.

To be fair mate, i wouldn't like to say, but like i said i've not pushed it hard enough through the twistys yet to tell, are coilovers the way to go, and if so which ones?

If I was forced to change it would be 2Live's setup tbh which is coilovers.

KW and H&R do coilovers for the Willy, both are first class setups, not cheap shite

not as far as im aware

KW are about £500 and are fixed damping adjustable height

H&R are about £500 too and are adjustable height, not sure on if you can adjust the damping or not, also check if you get rear shocks with the kit as with some you dont

many choices for suspension!

i use to run AVO coilovers but due to a few reasons now run all new std set-up except i run 200lb custom springs(std height)

prefer it now then when i had coilovers, but each to there own :)

ive ordered a set of fk konigsport coilovers ( adj height, adj damp, helper springs ) for £440 from www.2modified.com , got a discount tho. ive got avo coilovers on the valver setup at the moment but wanted to try something diff. they are good coilovers tho the avos

have the AVO s on mine....have had for 3 years or so now..

can be set to be softer than the oe set up, with same ride height, or hards and low as fuk lol

i rate mine a lot tbh.........corners a lot flatter, turn ins a lot sharper, and feels well n truly planted. but also gives u plenty of notice wen its about to let go also.

all up..a big improvement over std i reckon.

the AVOs were the only ones available for the williams back then, i mailed koni, bilstein but they replied they no longer make them, and ledas were too far outta my price range.£1200+ at the time lol.
