some of you may remember i bought a BMC CDA to fit to the valver to see what its like, but when i dummy fitted it up with silicone hose the silicone wouldnt bend properly enough to get it in place properly

however, after forgetting i had it and finding it in my room last week ive ordered some SFS Flexi Ducting so i can finally get it on, ive used that stuff before and it bends perfectly and doesnt collapse cos of the wire reinforcement

it only came in 82mm or 89mm and it wont stretch so ive had to go for 89mm

my throttle adapter is 80mm and the BMC is 85mm, so, ive done the following with the adapter so when the hosing arrives on Tuesday i can get it all fitted

dont worry there isnt a gap on the adapter like in the pic, ive got some more of that rubber so its a complete circle now

carbon shield closed induction kit iirc. Supposed to be pretty good however people that tried the pipercross viper didn't rate that (and its a closed induction kit too).

Good work brun let us know the results.

problem with our cars is lack of room for enclosed kits, and the std box is mounted directly on the throttle itself, were as with VTS/GTI etc the kit if mounted abit further away off a pipe

well, i give up !

after taking the battery and airbox off, i can get the CDA in but there is nowhere to put a proper feed for it, the OE feed is quite small compared to this so id have to buy some more hose or take the OE feed plate out that goes from engine bay to wheel arch

i think it would go in but ive not got the patience for it lol

Get the hacksaw out and cut the top off the hole that the OEM airfeed goes thru then bend it out a bit to make room.

i cant be bothered messing with it anymore peeps

i suffer from back problems and all that messing around leaning over the engine bay isnt doin me any good

ive put it on Ebay, ill sell it for less to anyone on here and ill include the breather filters and throttle body adapter aswell at no extra charge, ive already sent the flexi stuff back to Tweeks lol, so you would have to order some of your own of that but the 89mm stuff fits perfectly onto the adapter and CDA box

arse

probably would have done that aswell mate if i hadnt sent the hose back

its my bloody back, it gives way about every 6 months and its decided nows the time, just pissed me off today with the pain trying to do it so i decided id had enough, ill be losing money on it but i might be able to go on holiday if i sell it

i couldnt be bothered to remove the OE plate for the feed joiner between bay and arch, and by that time my back was killin and i couldnt see how to get it off so i gave up
