A 175/50 will never stretch onto a 8" rim i'll get some 185/55's I think.

LOL....why not get some fat tyres, have a look at specialist mini places as most of them run 13" rims IIRC, i know my mate who built up a mnini had 8 or 9" rims and tehre was only something like 2 makes of tyres that did a wide enough one
