I have change the std distributor with a new one from fiat punto gt so the std tacho is not working properly.

I had just 4 grey injectors from sierra cosworth 504cc in the past but now i use 8 std injectors works much better.

8 injectors?!!! thats class! 8)

dimkais

This is the filter. It took me too much time to find the parts i wanted.I
do kno what is her horsepower and i dont really bother much as long
as nobody passes me on the streets    The best part is that
despite the extreme set up(high c.r and cam characteristics) the motor
is working perfect 8) .
I'll try to get more fotos 2 live.Do you want something special or just the
injectors?

just the injector set up tbh mate....iv been thinking along the same lines for when i actually get the bodies on mine.....shunt be too long now hopefully

Thats a great idea might try that when I fit throttle bodies on mine. Would be good as a nitrous motor aswell as you could use 4 of them to enrich the mixture while the other 4 stayed as normal.

The best way to get what you can from this situation is to put the second
rail in front of the trumpets. The only thing i dont like is that you cannot
use filter (even im running without one 3 years now).I think that this is
the best set up to run because the second rail is far away from the engine
heat (so the fuel is much colder) you have better idle (because of the use
of std injectors) and easier mapping
When i get tired of its current power,i'll put a direct port nos system and
wait to see when the motor will explode
Just to see its
capability

I think i'll try this setup when I tb mine.

If you want a good rad get one from a <1996 Volkswagen Passat TDi they're a bit wider than the Clio one but a lot shorter and should cool it OK.

Matt

02-05-2006, 11:20
i was thinkin more along the lines of one off a pug .bit wider, lot shorter than the clio 1, and they have the inlet/outlets in rite places

clowo16v
02-05-2006, 11:46
They'll probably both work Ok the TDi one will be lots more efficient than the Pug one though, and they're very light. I've got one in the shed thats why i'm using it.

Matt

2 live
02-05-2006, 12:00
the pug is also a diesel one lol...which is also the same as the 1.6/1.9 gti..so shud be up to the job ok

i also have one knockin about in the unit lol.....which is why my thoughts turned to it

on the passat 1 ul have to run the top hose across the width of the rad...which will obstruct the bodies possibly

clowo16v
02-05-2006, 12:16
Thats a good point actually scrap that idea then i'll try a Peugeot one.

std fitment items are so much cheaper tho.and some can do the job just as well.....only at a fraction of the cost

Perhaps it's a silenced decat?

dimkais
02-05-2006, 18:18
I don't kno how its called in English but the mechanic said i should use two silencers to keep the compression...This is the first silencer and not a cat.

I went to someone with a samco hose and he made me 1/2 kg of the
same colour for plastic parts.I painted it first with a material not to flake
anywhere and the next day i use the colour i got.Nothing special....No problems so far :D

Coops
03-05-2006, 22:15
the none flaky stuff u used first, is that likely to be heat resistant primer? and then normal plastic paint over the top! impressed it hasnt flakes on the area around the filler cap, because that bit of trim goes down the spark plug holes n all doesnt it so gets really hot!
