View Full Version : Killing animals on the road
It isnt fun, but at the same time you shouldnt swerve dangerously to avoid them.
I try to avoid them, and for now, I didnt hit anyone.

Try to avoid them if possible without crashing but sometimes its not possible to avoid them so its game over.
About a month ago i hit a pigeon, it was just sat in the road and it was too late, i thought if it stayed where it was i would go over it and it would be fine but the ****e decided to fly away at the last min and bounced of the corner of my bonnet  . Feathers everywhere
you gota swerve ! how is it fun killing animals! :(

I hit stuff all the time when I first started driving I took a conscious decision that if there was an animal in the way that wasn't massive or a badger I would just keep going straight on. I've seen too many accidents where people have swerved and lost it.
So far i've run over:
a badger (it was already injured I think was just lying in the road)
a fox
loads and loads of pheasants
a blackbird
The funniest thing I hit was a sparrow that swooped across the front of my car. Unluckily for it I was doing 100+mph and it hit the bonnet and got caught in the drivers side wiper arm so I had to stare at its head with the beak still moving for the rest of the bypass.

Haha love it.
Only 30 minutes ago i was ragging round some country lanes.
This sutpid feasant walks into the middle of the road, SMACK, it goes flying and flys straight into a "40MPH" sign, BANG, unlucky bird, you got Cliowned.

i have killed two cats this year
my mate once killed an owl... it was just sat in the road and at first he thought it was a baby... but then thought, "not much chance of that at this time", so carried on... it's didn't move... wallop! would have written the clio off, but he drives a Golf, so no damage.

I had a pheasant get stuck in the windscreen of my golf, driver side. There was its head, at eye level, and a foot, twitching at me. Had to wait a while till i could pull over too.
Almost hit a stag a couple of times, hit got knows how many rabbits, few pigeons....got a nvie blood splatter up my bonnet from a pigeon
^^^ Nice paps lunner ^^^
Run over loadsa Deer n sheep, used to work on the fishing boats, and the folks up ullapool lochinver way, ain't never heard of a fence, ****in animals everywhere, worst one was when we hit a stag at 90mph, VW Caravelle VR6 we were in was written off BIG TIME, looked like it'd hit a truck!!!!
Not a nice thing to do but sometimes has to be done :?

I've racked up two pigeons recently ....one I took out when I crested a hill at 80 and twatted the ****er in mid air...shat itself all over my windscreen . The second was similar to Andy's except it never took off and I think it took the bottom of the bumper got it right on the dome! Sounded nasty...
i ran over a rabit, thats about it.
you bunch of sicko's! fair enuff if you cant avoid it safely!
andy = 2 cats
northy 2 cats + bird + me on his bmx when he was 13
Once hit a baby deer in my 306. £600 worth of damage and a very dead deer :(
Hit loads of other smaller things too. Thankfully nothing on the bike, though
dont see how hurting or killin animals can be fun.....unless u have mental problems?
so far only ran over a pigeon, tryd to swerve but felt it go under my wheel...lukd in my mirror and it flew off
the clio nearly startd fish tailing wen i tryd 2 avoid a cat the other day....i swear the ****in thing waited for me 2 get along side it then it launched its self in front of me
