I know all the stripped out dedicated track boys probably don't, but who else has sacrificed their spare to the God of weight-saving??

I'm thinking about putting mine in the shed, as they do weight a fair bit. I'll just throw a can of tyreweld in the glovebox or something

no spare n no foam, just dance with the devil everyday!

legality for mot is you dont have to have a spare but if u do carry one its gotta be in servicable nick, i.e not punctured or balb as fook iirc

yep, someone i work with is a former cabbie, and he said exactly the same.

if there's one there then it has to be in good nick.

so here's a little tip for you all boys and girls:-
if your spare is ****ed and not road legal, and ur MOT is due, just take it off and leave it at home!!

I run without the spare or subframe. Just make sure you keep your locking wheelnut in the car then you can phone the RAC/flag down a passing Clio (like I did a couple of months ago, they let me borrow their spare and followed me to a tyre place so I could get it fixed)

I dont run one and i dont have the wheel cage either, and i dont have the jack either, no point having a jack to lift the car up if you have no wheel to put on
