View Full Version : which car do i keep?????????
which car do i keep
with a view on profitting on the 2 i sell and also which to keep, dont just say which looks the best but take into account what i payed and what i can sell for etc
the aim is to end up with a half decent fast car and some heavy $$$ in the bank
saxo vts no tax or mot ... yet cost me £1000
swift gti no tax or mot ... yet cost me £250 aprox
106 gti 12 months mot 5 months tax cost me £1500
all 3 cars are aprox same speed with the swift gti being the better on fuel of the three

Good boy....you know that there would have been trouble otherwise!
I say.....106 GTI
Swift GTI imo. Because you will have more £££ in the bank.
Oh and its different, sleeperish, oldschool and badass 8)
ive had two williams and to be honest there literally only just faster than any of the above from 80 onwards in a straight line. also terrible on fuel and expensive on insurance.
out of the 2 williams and 16v clio i have had i have literally brought the 3 above cars with the profit!
i could never own a clio again and be happy
maybe a MINT williams that hasnt got me investigating a squeek or a noise every 5 mins
jap import one to pushing 110bhp 8)
cheers frenchy at least you appreciate the underestimated swift gti
there really not that ugly are they?

keep vts scap the swift and sellthe 106
Why does everyone bum 106 gti's? the mk1 xsi was a much nicer looking car inside and out?!!
I'm sorry but look at that interior - looks like someones wiped there arse all over it...
That vts is exactly how I'd have one - black mk1 with mk2 alloys - MINT!

I would say the VTS, but that's propbably infulenced by the fact there are loads of silver 106's around where I live so I really wouldn't want one. As for the swift, it looks good from the back but is very ugly at the front (a common problem - and I don't mean cars ;))
ive been falling toward the saxo too
although i havent seen or driven it yet
sell all three and make money on all three.
then find another car cheap again, whether it be a 106, saxo, or swift or whatever..
thats wot i would do to make most money.

I'm sorry Matt, but that is the most shit filled comment I have ever heard
My valver will chew a swift and a saxo to bits and sput them onto the road. Believe me, I've owned a VTR, I know how shit they are.
Not sure on the GTi, but they are still probably not as fast.
If you hate clios so much, what are you still doing here??

Indeed. I think it's because he enjoys showing us just how cheap he can buy cars for?! Every single car, in fact.

If it's cheap and reliable, it ain't fast

firstly a swift gti will happily keep with a valver to 100 no problems at all
secondly this is a saaxo vts not a vtr
thirdly the williams really arent that fast, they are faster than the 3 cars above but not by much and im sure theres many open minded people on here who agree.

Can't see anything wrong with the above comments 8)
Just have the vts and be done with it laaa - better interior nicer to look at and stupidly easy to tinker with
i do like the vts alot now daz
its a v reg to so it quite new etc
kinda car that i'll still get £1000 back for even if i kept it 3 years
aye you'll get a trick digital trip any every 'fink' innit...
There is 500cc difference between them.
You know the old saying, "There is no replacement for displacement"
There is 500cc difference between them.
You know the old saying, "There is no replacement for displacement"
In that case, why does my little 600cc beast go so fast?!
The Americans made up that displacement saying, which says a lot :P
i know its hard to believe but the swift gti's are stupidly fast for a 1.3
they weigh 730kg and push out 101bhp
dannyb1986 on here has witnessed me go past his clio 16v from a rolling start and be a cars length ahead by end of second gear.
he also saw me beat my old vlaver which i sold to my mate rich. that was from 0 - 120mph and i was ahead until he started to creep past me after 125mph +
im sorry but i have owned 2 williams 7-8 valvers and 9-10 swift gtis so i have a very good background to compare these cars.
if you are that stubborn minded to think the williams is invincible you are very biased.
i suppose you think my old charade gtti would be miles behind i williams because the engine is half the size.
a charade at 150bhp at 15psi boost would embarass a williams, and a standard one at 100bhp would not be far behind.
bought the saxo
driveshaft went
sold today for same that i paid
swift has gone some some black guy from london
now im bloody car less :(
anyone got a cheap valver for sale by any chance

i agree with what your saying about the speed and that matt engine siz etc, james starlet turbo used to hammer my valver and keep up with the 200sx, but it still doesnt help that the swift looks like the newest edition to the kia family!! and with you being about 7 ft and 20st it doesnt really look good when you drive them with your head curling up against the roof!! just stop being tight and buy another pulsar, you know you want to!!

i'd say most are prolly slower, because most of them are ****ed
