Put the car away last night and listed to the radio (inc amp and sub) for 3-4 mins without the engine running

Came to it this morning car opened it on the fob and tried to start it and nothing like it had no battery on at all

I jump started it off the Legacy and went for a 20 mile drive got home turned it off and tried to start again and nothing

Could this be the alternator????

Anyway I can check it out?

Could it be a short somewhere?

notice your from Wigan mate, ill be in Wigan tonight as i am most nights

to test your alt, run the car and with all electrics off you should be getting above 13.5v, ideally 14.4v

it should stay above 13v even with your lights/blowers/stereo etc on

Think the battery's not holding charge. It could have been on it's last legs and the music-listening could have finished it off. If the drive was incident-free, the alternator should be OK.

BRUN: I live just outside Wigan in Bickershaw chances are i'll be in the Leggy though while I still can lol

Thanks for the info after opening the bonnet and taking out the fuse for the amp (and setting off the stupidly loud alarm siren) I found out that it was something to do with that so I ripped it all out

Must have been a dodby connection I think

Not a fan of amp subs and the like

Unbolted it out of the boot floor and it's going on ebay

Nowt speical I dont think 1000w Amp and 12" ish Sub & Box

Also swapped to 2 of my 4 momos (1 bent 1 puctured) and its handling better :D
