is it possable to change the startermotor with out removing the engine

im guessing it is but need comfermation ?

3 days at a garage (if u can call it that) gettin messed about only to be told sorry m8 i gotta take the engine out
looks like ill do it myself

yes iirc. It's fiddly but do able.

. The job can be done by simply removing down pipe, n/s/f wheel and the starterbolts. its not a major job. should take about an hours wigglin and fiddlin

yep looks like ill find my own motor do it my self then im more of a renault specialist than them :twisted: :evil:
and i might even get a working car at the end of it with out it nearly being wrote off more than once

if u have a supersrint u shud be able to change starter without needing to take anything else off... just the 3 starter bolts and pull it out from the top back.

lol theres the starter earthing bracket also which is required to be fit

Don't have to take the manifold off, its fiddly but do able with everything in situ. Just replaced mine.
