How long to change a clutch cable?

Just dropped the RT off to be MOT'd, mrs was waiting outside in the Hybrid, I jump in the Hybrid and the ****ing clutch cable snaps as I go to reverse :evil:

The garage have quoted me £200+VAT :shock:

I have just got home and renault have one on the shelf and its £14 :D

Thing is, I am busy all day tomorrow and will have no time what so ever and saturday morning I need to take the Hybrid to Williams_Jnrs dads place to be resprayed so only have tonight to sort it out.

To get to WESTS and back will take an hour+ and then I need to pick the mrs up from work at 5:15 which is about another 1 hour round trip so in theory I only have just over an hour of day light to do the cable myself or pay the thieving garage £200+VAT :oops:

Whats your opinions?

Hour or so tops.....just remember to take the old grommet end in the footwell out

Done it 4 times now 3 on old RT and once on new valver, once you get the nack only takes 15 minutes, bit longer 4 the valver coz the lack of space.

mine not gone but is it worth changing it ? regular .. and is it the same type of fault like the 5 turbo
