Numpty Dash Light Question

Was trundling along this morning and about 20 mins into my journey (oil warm and up to temp) I noticed the light on the water level guage was on. The needle was up to the first notch and the car was running fine. Pulled into the garage to check everything - water level was fine, no mayo etc… started the engine up and the light went out.

Just been out to check the water level again and is fine. Everything looks OK so what happened with the light coming on ??

Everything was running fine!!! No, never.

If everything mechanically is fine, then naturally the little French electronic gremlins come out to play...

Just keep an eye out for it happening again, and don't rely on any gauges. If all is fine and there is no obvious sign of a problem, then don't worry. Only worry 'not if' but when it goes wrong...

If you worry about IFs with these cars you would never buy one!! :wink:
