Was flying back to work on wednesday, felt like my head was going to explode, then it did, perforated eardrum, never felt pain like it, did a day on the rig but it was too much, medic wanted me off in the 1st instance anyway, so got a flight back in earlier, sat a 1000ft instead of 3500 so not to do anymore damage (felt really special :lol: ) Went into see company doctor and he said stay home for as long as it takes :twisted: :lol: :wink:
Bizzare considering i've been jumping on the same chopper for the last 7 years making the same flight and never had a bit of bother?!
Also smashed up me knee a bit a few months back but soldiered on, so asked him to check that out whilst i was there, reckons i fractured it, and theres a pile of cartlidge hanging out the sides, mmmmmm sounds like some more time off :P
