been ok for a while but after leaving ltr yesterday the rear right caliper decided to stay on pretty hard making it noticeably harder to pull away and when I stopped after a few miles the wheel was red hot..any quick fix I can do as I won't be able to get it in the garage before york... :(

Ive had the same problem mate  Best bet is to just strip them down and give em a good clean and grease a few bits up. keep moving the cylinder in and out to try and free it up a bit.

make sure you use red rubber grease though as anything else kills the seals

Had a look at it today with Notorious, looks as if the piston is seized, put copper grease on the sliders and wd40 everything, hit with a hammer and seems ok for now but think i re-conditioned caliper could be in order, unless there is anything else that can be done with the piston?

£40 i think at DMS part ex, might be less or more for the rear, i can't remember!

Worth it though if yours is sticking might be in the 13's after that copper grease and wd!

Ah, join the club. Mine have been mint since putting two refurbed ones on.

rear calipers are around 60quid plus vat, so about 75 a side

copper grease is what destroys the rubber seals in the first place. do not use copper grease or WD40 on brake calipers. it causes the rubber to swell up and seize the calipers.
