Didnt you want to go for 185/55/15s?
Im running Toyo Proxes T1R's In that size and im happy with them so far, not badly priced either.
I havnt tried the other two so cant coment. Id have a look at klebers as well, as there apparently rebranded Michelins.

F1s, without question. PE2 are softer, and therefore grippier, but if you cane it that means they'll fall apart sooner.

195 50 15,s are actually 1.4% percent smaller than 185 55 15,s or -8.5 mm smaller http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/tyrecalc.asp http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp might be useful

Kleber Dynaxer are near identical to the original Michelin HX's that were on the williams'. Same compound and similar tread pattern.

Try caning them. They're grippier than the F1s in the dry as they're a slightly softer tyre, so if you batter them they tend to fall apart sooner, certainly I know this is true on track.

Guy I know hammered a Trophy when they first cam out and he loved the PE2s but said they only lasted the morning.

I'm currently on Toyo Proxes T1R's. They're designed to give the best grip in the wet. Have a look at their website http://www.toyo.co.uk/productdetail.php?identity=products&product_id=2

sorry mate but i cant believe a goodyear would last longer than a Michelin, no matter how you drive

and for all those that have voted for Eagles, yes they are a good tyre, but have you driven on the Michelins ?.........

ive driven with both and IMO the Michelins are worth the extra

Try coming to a trackday Brun and have a look at all the PE2 runnners. I'll bet most prefer the PE2 because, as I said, they're a grippier tyre from the off. This is because they're a softer compound. Hence, under extreme conditions, they'll fall apart sooner.

Same logic as why P6000s last 2,000,000 miles.

from the 'feel' of both id say the F1 was the softer compound

My set of Eagle F1s have lasted track day at Anglesey, Cadwell and Oulton Park, plus about 7,000 road miles. So I'd say they wear pretty well indeed! On the down side, the ride is absolutely crap.

Will be trying Toyo T1-Rs next.

You on GSD2s Matt? Yours felt soft me, which I assumed was the 185/55 size.

Think both are pretty good tires from reviews and owning a set of PE2's for over a year and having done, Anglessy and Cadwell with them as well as 1/4 miling and roughly 10k miles, tread still looks good as martin saw on friday!

Sidewalls a bit nakered but still plenty of tread left, mind you i alternate them a fair bit, so all wearing at the same rate, but can't compain about wear on them or grip, best tires i've had but next time im gonna either try goodyears or toyo's just for a change!

Yes mate, GSD2s. Perhaps I'm getting old :P

Must be. I've heard loads of people moan they're too soft in the sidewalls, not something I've noticed, but then I've only ever tried them.
