Hi, Just wondering which of the following is the caliper carrier bolt, 1 or 2?...cos some how its come undone and fooked the inside of my disc! So...I need a new caliper carrier and disk! The garage who fitted them obviously did'nt fit them properly:roll: Just hope I can buy the parts seperately, as it came as a kit. Cheers. Matt

pics to small. the carrier is bolt to the strut using 10mm fine thread metric bolts with an 18mm head and should be thread locked. bigger pic would help though.

bolt 1 holds the caliper to the carrier. bolt 2 holds the caliper carrier to the strut. so the caliper carrier bolt i would say is 2. 1 i would say is the caliper bolt. though some else may disagree

Cheers m8...that makes sense then....this bolt came undone some how and has made a big guage on the inside of the disc, where I've been using the brakes. They've been making a griding noise for a while now...thought is was just the calipers sticking cos I did not use that car for 3 weeks while I had the engine changed. Now I need new disc and caliper carrier!

this bolt is the right one then. the other would not mark your discs. but should have been fitted with tread lock and torqued up to 43nm if i remember rightly. i would have words with the garage and get them to pay.
