ok 1st things 1st, the 2 negative leads.

whilest doing the gearbox oil i had the battery and the full air box off. whilest poking around and generaly looking i found anohter negative lea?!? as far as i can see it looks like someone at some point has spliced another lead on, but i have no idea why! :?

as i said, im guessing but i've marked on the pic which i think is the original neg lead and the new one.

green arrow = original lead
orange arrow = new one
red arrow = possitive.

2nd one is a again something i found whilest having the bat and air box off.
its a fairly hefty looking connector, but can anyone tell me what it is or what it does and is it important?!

The battery earth is short normally running from the battery to a bolt holding the raditator crossmember on.

Does the second earth still work & where does it go ? might have a powerfull sound system in ?

The red one looks ok, but has been converted from a factory battery mount to a traditinal round mount mate.

That connector isnt connected to the williams either mate. I would just ensure its not rusty and clip it out of the way.

that connector might be something to do with the abs. Not sure if the looms for cars with and without abs are different.

no mate, abs is totaly standalone.

that connector is unused on every williams and valver i have seen.

lol, all that weight (cable and all) sat there doing nothing!

but whats does it connect to? it must be there for something surley! they would just wire up a plug and make it go no where? it mus be for something.

course then do, its for renault to charge you a million pounds to hook up to their is it RJ45? or summit like that, system at a dealer to tell them what all the sensors n shite in the engine r doing.

the way we do it is pull off each sensor, if the car does summit different with engine runnin that sensor works! :P
