I got an advisory for my MOT in January for excessive wear on my front nearside tyre, which like any good citizen i have duly ignored for the last 2 n a half months, until today!

its bone dry here in sunny sheffield n the weather is spot on, excellent road conditions and can i lay all the power down in first? can i buggery! its spinning all over the shop, and as for swinging hard left corners, not a hope in hell, which makes tripoding round roundabouts a thing of the past!

as such this weekend i'm having new shoes, but what do i go for? i have shortlisted 2 that i want, price irrelavent, and to be fair its not gonna win awards for originality, but which do i go for?!

nah not fitted, but id say most tyre places would fit and balance all 4 for about £25 so its still cheaper

hehe cheers brun, once again my vulture theory is proven!

yeah thats fitted on freshly ground rims (to seal em right), balanced and new valves.

and the reason i aint wantin to search for cheaper, which i realise i cud of got, is i cant be arsed waiting for the delivery picking it up, running round the tyre places for cheapest fitment, booking in, getting it done yada yada over easter. i'd rather spend an extra 20 notes n go in, get it done, drive home, done. 8)

round here its not, plus i know the owner of a tyre place very well who would probably put them on for less

I got tyres on 2 sets of 2 wheels swapped over, so thats 8 tyres removed, and 8 fitted for £20, usually pay £20 for 4 to be swapped

I used to have Eagle F1's, really good tyres now i have Toyo T-1S and well i can get the back end out easier now ;)

But havent really pushed it much since i got the toyo's.... would deffo say i like the Eagles better and they grip in the wet very well :)

Summy can vouch for that, from when i was racing a 306 in the wet, they did some pritty amazing things
