Just back from crail today!
Was a good day, nice weather (which is uncommen for scotland!), and some fast cars!
For all those Edinburgh / Central Scotland guys/girls who didnt turn up - BOOOOO! Poor Show! Was well worth coming! Your loss! :wink:
Both me and Colin (williams 3) put in some runs, showed up civic type r's and (of course) mark 2 RS clios!

I ran a 14.123 @ 100.9mph! (and i didnt have to cut the metal inners outa my car for that! :wink: )
Colin ran a best time of 15.1 (IIRC) Shows what stripping and an increased rev limit can do to a clio!
Awesome time dude did'nt expect that at all... :)

Most comedy car of the day was a mk 5 escort 1.3 totally standard which ran 22.5@63mph lol, lol, lol, lol

you sure about 1mph? mite be worth taking off for next time!
camera mount was a 3"x2" bit of wood, 900mm long, bolted to my side mount on the passenger side! :oops:
it worked ok, but looked gawd awful! i painted it black in a poor attempt to camoflage it! :roll:
will buy a proper camera mount when i have a spare 80 quid, unless anyones got a spare one i can have on the cheap????

These crail times seem to be all over the place! Unless its a very quick ctr!
Me - 14.1 @ 100.9mph (seems too quick but im not complaining!)
Colin - 15.1 @ 96mph (seems slow imo)
CTR - 14.3 @ 104mph (seems far too quick imo)

Crail times are known to be very inaccurate, the track isnt even totally level!!
They are upgrading the timing system this week to accomodate 1/8mile and 1000ft etc times!
The track is 90% flat id say, its just the last couple meters that seem to dip away a little.

Stew's car weighing 100kgs less and having 500 more revs to use will deffo make the difference....but yeah there does seem to be some strange times at crail.

Just wondering as I was talking to a mate tonight and when I mentioned I had bought a valver he said someone on his uni course had a valver hybrid with white willy wheels. AFAIK yours is the only one that matches that description. I live about 30 seconds from the uni so I'll have to keep an eye out for you.
