is it ok to run performance cams with the standard pulleys? been told by tuning place i use who are highly thought of that it will run fine without verniers and can be timed in well enough using the standard pulleys and that the verniers arent really worth it for all the difference they make. also can the cams be stuck into the head without having to remove the head? would it be worth fitting them or am i not really going to notice much of a performance difference anyway?

Verniers allow them to be timed in properly to gain the full advantage from them

if your fitting them u want them timed in properly and mapping done afterwards to make most of them otherwise pointless

like richy siad on standard pulleys you wont get the full effect of the cams, and i dont know if you ment this but you dont have to remove the head to fit cams or pulleys!

They can be timed in using the standard pulleys if you file the tab out.

It totally depends on the spec of the cam as to how well they will perform without vernier pulleys.
