View Full Version : Fitting new Loom to 16v

How tricky is it to do this with the engine still in place? are there any bits really awkward to get at?

The reason I ask is that I went to see a 16v for sale today and it looks as though part of the loom that goes to the cts and the sensor next to it has been chopped as I can't see the connectors anywhere. I'm guessing that the easiest way round that is to fit a new loom.

How much should I expect to pay for a new loom?

Thanks.

As for price, you need to find someone with a good one first.

I would probably want £50 as i'd rather keep them for myself otherwise.

It would be a Ph2 looms I would be needing. I'm guessing you just remove a multiplug type thing at one end then all the connectors, then do the reverse for fitting the new one?

Have you got any just now?

Whats the problem with injector clips, prise the metal clip out and pull out....no harder then other clips in the engine bay....my ISCV on teh RSi had the same clip, had that off loads of times and no probs
