How the hell do you do uk to france payments?!!

Bought a cd i've been looking at for a while from a fella in france who I thought had paypal (yes yes should have checked).

I'm confused now if I send him a cheque in uk £££ when he banks it will it work?

Don't know what the hell the bank transfer procedure is but it looks complicated I know that - and sounds expensive...

Postal order? same as cheque will that work?

anyone had experience with this?

best bet is find out how much in euros it is! and then go down to your local beureau de change(located in many travel agents) and change up english £££ to euros. and then send by registered mail (about £4 i think)

or see if he will accept english pounds thru the mail so he can change them up his end!
